“ | Have a rotten day! | ” |
Wario is a resident of the Mushroom Kingdom, and a recurring antagonist of Super Mario Bros. Z, trying to steal the Chaos Emeralds, alongside Waluigi.
Biography[]
Appearance[]
Wario has large, muscular arms and a rotund body. He has a large pink nose with large nostrils. His mouth is fixed into a grin and he has a rounded cleft-chin. His hair is light brown and he has a black zigzagged mustache. His clothing resembles Mario's, with him wearing a yellow t-shirt under a set of purple overalls, and a pair of green pointed shoes. His yellow cap has a blue "W" printed on it. His white gloves also have a blue "W" printed on them.
Personality[]
Wario is extremely greedy and selfish. He will do anything to get money, a trait prominently displayed in the Wario Land series and in Wario World. He is also very vain, considering himself to be very handsome, despite many people describing him as ugly or frightening.
History[]
Metallix Saga[]

Wario entered the Mushroom Kingdom Smash Tournament and made his way to the final round. There, he faced Mario as his opponent. Mario was able to trip Wario at the beginning of the match, which caused Wario to get furious at him. Wario pulled out a toothbrush and began brushing his teeth, making them clean and sharp. He tried to bite Mario with his teeth but failed. Mario eventually stuck a Home Run Bat in his mouth and knocked him away towards Waluigi. Wario grabbed an Assist Trophy to get the help of Waluigi. With Waluigi trying to stomp Mario, Wario threw a Fire Flower at him to turn him into Fire Waluigi. Wario launched a Gas Attack with the help of Waluigi's fireball straight at Mario. When Mario survived thanks to an invincibility star, Wario was shocked. He turned Waluigi into a baseball bat and charged at Mario. Before he could get to him, a Bulky Bob-omb fell out of the sky and exploded in the middle of the arena. Wario was sent flying away alongside Waluigi.
Wario, alongside Waluigi, eavesdropped on the heroes as they discussed their plan to search for the Chaos Emeralds. Upon hearing this, they decided to search for the Chaos Emeralds for monetary gain. After much searching, he later came across a Chaos Emerald, finding it at the same time as Luigi. Using a waft attack, Wario managed to get away with the Emerald and hopped into his Wario Car, Brute, with Waluigi in tow. They were pursued by Luigi, riding atop Yoshi. After Waluigi's attempt at impeding the two with Bob-ombs backfired and ended up destroying Brute, they ran up a hill until they reached a sharp cliff. A struggle for the Chaos Emerald ensued between the two parties, only for it to be interrupted by a pair of missiles being fired by Metallix, sending Wario and Waluigi flying away.
Powers and Abilities[]
Despite his rotund physique, Wario is quite athletic and wields superhuman strength that surpasses that of Mario or Luigi. As such Wario makes use of use of his brute strength for heavy attacks such as his Dash Attack to knock down his enemies. When he feels the need to, Wario also makes use of his large teeth to bite his enemies or his flatulence to leave them disoriented. Wario can also eat almost anything as seen in The New Threat when he swallows an entire easel without issue.
Techniques[]

Wario uses Dash Attack.
- Dash Attack - Wario charges forwards in an attempt to ram a foe. This attack was first seen and named in Wario Land 4. It was used against Mario.
- Chomp - A biting attack that is possibly based on the "Hyper Suction" attack from Wario World. The attack was named in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It was used against Mario.
- Wario Waft - A fart attack that was first seen and named in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It was used in his battle against Mario, where its power was amplified by Waluigi's fireball. This variation of the attack seems to originate from Mario Strikers Charged.
Relationships[]
Allies[]
Waluigi[]
While Waluigi and Wario often bicker, their relationship overall seems to be a positive one, with them sharing good chemistry and often teaming up in sports events and spinoff titles. They make an effective pair and can work together for devastating team attacks. The two share many aspects of their personalities and even looks, although the exact relationship between Wario and Waluigi is somewhat ambiguous. Wario has a habit of physically assaulting or insulting him. Wario also tend to use Waluigi as a literal tool and leave him with the short end of the stick.
Enemies[]
Mario[]
Mario is Wario greatest rival. Wario has been envious of Mario ever since they were children, with his envy only growing as Mario became more renowned in adulthood. Ever since, Wario has always tried to best Mario in any sort of competition.
Luigi[]
While Wario and Luigi don't interact much, Wario has been known he is antagonistic towards Mario's other friends, which extends to Luigi. Wario hates it whenever Luigi helps Mario or gets in his way, and won't hesitate put him on the receiving end of a beating. Wario allegedly enjoys tying Luigi's shoelaces together.
Yoshi[]
Much like Mario and his friends, Wario is on bad terms with Yoshi. After being chased by Luigi and Yoshi up to a cliff of the Grass Land, Wario and Waluigi ended up squabbling with the two over the White Chaos Emerald.
