Biography[]

Appearance[]

Toadsworth is portrayed as an elderly Toad with a tan complexion and a beige cap with brown spots. He also has a puffy, white mustache. Wearing a light purple vest with gold buttons that have Toad emblems on them. Layered on top of the vest is a purple, sleeveless jacket (or vest) that hangs down like a tuxedo with gold trim. He walks around using a stick-like cane that has a brown mushroom cap on top with beige spots on it. [1]

Personality[]

Toadsworth is a kind character who tries his best to help others, particularly Princess Peach, whom he cares for very deeply, having had a hand in raising her since she was a baby. Toadsworth constantly worries about Peach when she has been kidnapped by Bowser, and while Toadsworth is quick to panic and flee with the other Toads when danger arises, he sometimes tries to stay and protect the princess or offer advice to the Mario Bros. Toadsworth is known for addressing many other characters with the "Master" honorific due to his polite nature.[2]

History[]

Metallix Saga[]

Toadsworth spectated the Mushroom Kingdom Smash Tournament and later, the battle between Mario and Bowser alongside Princess Peach. After Bowser turned the tide of battle in his favor with the power of the Metal Mushroom and prepared to finish Mario off, Toadsworth was seen panicking at the situation. He later fainted from shroomshock after Kamek held Princess Peach hostage under the threat of transforming her into a Goomba for the rest of her life to prevent Mario from continuing to fight back.

After the conflict with Bowser was resolved, Toadsworth was seen beside Princess Peach, who had invited the two strangers who had emerged from the capsule that materialized over Bowser and shattered his Metal form. Having introduced themselves as Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic requests a favor. He asks if they would be willing to assist in their search for a set of mystical artifacts called the Chaos Emeralds. After Shadow explains their properties and the potential threat they could pose, Toadsworth insists upon forming multiple search parties to seek the Emeralds out, fearing the possibility of Bowser obtaining them. However, Sonic rejects the idea, claiming that it'd be better to keep the search quiet to avoid causing a panic.

Relationships[]

Allies[]

Princess Peach[]

Toadsworth has looked after Princess Peach since she was an infant and cares for her deeply, almost fatherly in manner. He accompanies her wherever she goes, whether it be for political affairs or vacations. Her safety is of the utmost concern to him. He worries for her safety constantly, often to extreme extents. He has also been shown to serve as something of an advisor to her, often assisting and offering her advice in governing the Kingdom and even finances.

Mario[]

Toadsworth displays a great amount of respect for Mario, having referred to him as "Master" Mario even during infancy. He has full confidence in Mario's abilities, with his presence greatly reassuring him. Mario is the first person Toadsworth turns to for assistance during pressing situations, especially when it involves Princess Peach's safety. Toadsworth also offers his assistance to Mario on his adventures in a variety of ways, typically giving him advice on how to proceed should he require it.

Enemies[]

Bowser[]

As Bowser constantly kidnaps Princess Peach and endangers the Mushroom Kingdom, Toadsworth holds a very low opinion of him, having deemed him to be an "overgrown brute."
