- Axem Black made his debut in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
- Axem Black's sprites are edits of Captain Jose from the arcade game, Ninja Baseball Bat Man. Haynes also assisted in ripping the sprites from the game alongside Tonberry2k.
